Colorado is the glorious state that it is because of its affinity for the outdoors, all of the activities that are available year round, and the scenery that promotes it all. Missy Brown Architecture and Design promotes the nature loving lifestyle by adding treehouses to their repertoire. There’s one in particular that stands out in the Vail area, and the space is one that’s great for dinner parties and entertaining. Treehouses aren’t just for kiddos anymore.
The wood used to create this particular unit is all beetle kill, gathered sustainably after beetles took to a ton of trees that were able to be used as lumber. The client determined that their treehouse would be anchored on a 90ft spruce on their property, and this beautiful blocky treehome was born. A rooftop terrace even holds a small seating area that’s fit for a dinner with an even more majestic view. The interior is all dressed in timber, with built in shelving, seating and plenty of storage for just getting up and away at a moment’s notice.
