Every design has a concept behind it, and the ‘Nook Chair’ by Henry Sgourakis is one that holds a spot very near and dear to his heart. Stemming from the stays and days of playing at Grandma’s house, this chair (and ottoman) are an ode to some old objects in a new interpretation.
With the doilies and lace that came with the 1950’s come the spirograph patterns of this chair sit on a metal frame and mold to the bodyweight and shape of its user. The ‘Nook’ comes in various colors– black, white, blue, orange, red and yellow. With a goal to carry old memories into the future with a great piece, we would have to say that this chair certainly evokes those feelings.
