Christmas trees in the home average around 6 feet, and those who are more apt to include something a bit taller go for 8 to 9 feet. But what about an artfully created tree that’s 30 feet tall? This ‘tree’ is more of a holiday spirited art installation that’s created out of plastic bags by Spanish artists of Luzinterruptus in England.
Titled ‘The Consumerist’s Christmas Tree,’ we think that the name explains itself. Over the course of the holidays people mow through resources such as plastic shopping bags and these have been translated into a useful and beautiful art object. The plastic bags were collected during the hectic shopping times leading up to December 25th, and the remaining bags were strung as garland through the streets to create an added colorful illumination to create more awareness of our unnecessary consumption.
