Homes in the city of Sapporo, Japan are all unique in their makeup, but this particular space by Akasaka Shinichiro Atelier is a casually designed space that’s simple in form and entirely open on the inside. A flexible plan allows for future conversions and a reconfigurable space.
Akasaka Shinichiro Atelier Architects made this home without any interior distractions, allowing the user to look past any structural elements. Materials were all low cost products, and instead of traditional staircases ladder style steps were used to make a more appealing and maze-like interior.
Extremely tall ceilings make for a slightly etherial space, and the neutral color scheme ties it all together in a monochromatic wave of serenity.
