Students in Sweden are looking to create sustainable homes, architecture, and live more green all around. A group of them got together to create ‘HALO‘ a solar powered, shared space home that is constructed around a rotunda type concept.
Central core modules provide the method for heating and cooling the interior space, while much of the space outside of private areas becomes a shared, open space. Outdoors and indoors collide with the covered porch style common area and the outer ring of the circular interior provides shared living areas, too. The materials are simple: solar panels on the roof, wood for most of the construction, and other green pieces to complete this unique residential concept.
