There’s never a dull moment when it comes to art, art installations and combining the two with a retail storefront. Much like the department store windows that can be so sought after with each turn of the season, this particular bicycle shop begs for a double take, if not a trip inside.
Located in Altlandsberg, Germany, this shop features hundreds of bikes attached to the exterior facade. Not only is the installation fun and funky, it’s multiple stories high! The shop owners started with only 40 bikes applied to the walls, and that number has now grown to over 120. It’s like a cheap form of advertising that’s helped to grow this local business based on an artful risk taken.
