Contemporary artist Tom Fruin has created so many interesting works of art that are all independent of one another. He does, however, have a series of sculpture-esque creations that all have stained glass in common. One of these happens to be titled “Watertower II” and was on display at the Brooklyn Bridge Park earlier this year.
The installation is a gorgeous one that’s set up just along the water’s edge– a perfect spot for colored glass to gain some sparkle and extra glimmer of light to really shine. Though it’s not his first (and certainly not his last!) installation of colored style glass (or plexiglas if we are being politically correct), this is one of our favorites for the fact that it is circular with such bold and linear graphics.
