Built in 2012, Fox Johnston’s ‘Queens Park House’ is another one of those contemporary Australian gems. Built for a young, yet growing family– this space is open, light and airy to keep everyone feeling like they’ve got enough space to roam. Their home addition emphasized space for the old and the new.
Like most homes, the lower level is all about public spaces while the upper floor takes care of the master bedroom, loft and bathroom. Though they wanted enough room to claim their own stake, maintaining a garden that’s on the larger side was an important feat. Even with the yard being as spacious as it is, Fox Johnston made sure to keep the lower level open to the outdoors with large sliding doors and a continuation of materials to make things feel more ‘at home’ no matter what side of the line you are on.
