There’s something to be said about restaurant decor all over the world, and this Chinese space in Ecuador doesn’t disappoint. Crafted by Hou de Sousa, “Happy Panda” is a beautiful representation of a modern space that represents a historic culture in a unique design aesthetic.
The contemporary interior is outfitted with beautifully shaped cove lighting, bent wood ceiling elements, pendant lights and simple seating. One of the most notable elements, however, is the “Along The River” painting turned a type of toile wallcovering that really brings the entire space to life. The end result is a space that really feels light, bright, natural, and at the same time– telling a story of the past. The space is split into front (more public area) and back (private dining) experiences that all create a wholly unified design appeal.
