Located in Toyokawa, Japan, this home by Studio Velocity Architects was created with a few specific goals in mind. Maximize nature, interior space, and distance from neighbors. Creating this irregular shape worked out to keep distance from the surrounding properties while still allowing space for planted trees and deciduous plants nearby.
The lower level of this space is utilized as a salon/shop space while the upper portion serves as a sweet space for living– complete with an upper balcony. Huge, expansive windows create a visual to the outdoor oasis of nature and the white walls and furnishings keep the decor to a minimum. There are a couple of unique chandeliers that hang from the tall ceilings, and the rest is up to the exterior views.
