Small spaces are an increasingly popular topic. Whether they are lived in by choice or by budget restrictions doesn’t change the fact that this Taipei, Taiwan space is designed in such a way that nothing looks cramped or sacrificed. While many homeowners strive for more and more space, what they may want to be looking toward is a better design plan to accommodate ever changing needs.
It’s one big open plan by Folk Design and the floor plan is divided up into multiple ‘zones.’ The small space consists of ash veneer, steel, neutral colorings, and hardwood flooring. While a somewhat large piano takes over the majority of the space, it provides separation and a distinction of public vs. private areas. Built in storage is everywhere, a murphy bed is present, and the desk is a modular work of art.
