The Inhabitants Taking Over 'The House in The Woods' of Finland

Finnish based photographer Kai Fagerström has been focused on the works of organic elements and the coexistence of man and nature. In his series where he photographed a few cottages that had been abandoned and nature took over, Fagerström determined that he would put these gorgeous images into a book.

The House in The Woods” is the result of a whole lot of patience and dedication to the journey of this photo series. You’ll see that within the dilapidated architecture there are a plethora of different kinds of animals, including badgers, foxes, squirrels, mice and even owls. It’s interesting to see the way that nature takes back what was once its own in a situation where humans aren’t controlling the access to typical ‘off limits’ environments.
