Deeds Design spearheaded the project of creating a woodsy style working cabin on a home property in Berkeley, California. With a penchant for green design, sustainable architecture and environmentally friendly finishes– Deeds made this 120 square foot space into one that gains all of its energy from passive solar panels.
Low VOC’s, salvaged wood from Forest Stewardship Council approved locations, and exposed steel screws create a hand made feel. The tiny work studio was created in an irregular shape for an interesting application of furniture and maximization of work space. One large window allows in plenty of indirect natural sunlight and a smaller clerestory style window gives some extra architectural interest.
