Turner Architecture's Serpentine Inspired Structure

Nature is everywhere we look, whether we are looking specifically to it for inspiration or whether it is innate in where we go, what we create, see and do. Turner Architecture of Australia created a beautifully organic and intricate residence titled “The Serpent,” with a whole lot of nature to the overall design (not to mention its name).

With a major goal to provide a valuable space through a collaborative process, this home folds and winds and curves to create a stacked plan that is very much an open space for its residents. The lower and mid portions house the more public areas, and the top portion provides an awning like area over the exterior spaces while providing the private spaces of the home. The beautiful architectural details are really what make this abode, with wooden slats, jagged angles and gorgeous curves.
