David Vandervort Architects specializes in all sorts of nature made designs, and one of their best and beautiful cabin homes is a 400 square foot space on Orca Island. It is situated in between all kinds of trees, including fir, cedar and madrone species.
The residents of this home didn’t require too much in the planning process– just plenty of storage with an effective and efficient use of space. And there was no skimping on the number of spaces within, either. A living area, kitchen, bathroom and sleeping loft are all incorporated with sustainable materials and plenty of wood to blend in to the natural environment. A ladder ascends to the sleeping space, while the interior stone pattern veers out into the natural setting to tie it all in.
