A rebuild was in order for the burnt down version of this Fire Island Pines locale in New York, and HWKN Architects was just the collective to get it done. In collaboration with Blesso Properties, the once built night time lounge fell to ashes, only to be rebuilt again.
This time, the pavilion is an 8,000 square foot space that is an open air architectural beauty. The exterior portion that faces the waterside is more of a structural ‘skin’ that offers up a shielded terrace for high tea or outdoor lounging. A perfect place to grab a drink at the bar, gaze at the stars or people watch to the interior portions and dance floors below.
