From the Bay Area of California and beyond, Nick Noyes Architecture emits that coastal California vibe. From a sophisticated marble clad bathroom to a backyard comprised of string lights, everything is simple, clean and with a purpose. The Sea Ranch Residence off of the beach cliffs nearby has a contemporary Cape Cod feel with those California touches.
Noyes determined that the L configuration of the buildings on site would create an internal courtyard for the home– shielding from winds and elements while crafting some privacy for the homeowners. Material selection was a wide variety of copper, concrete, warm woods, slate, aluminum-faced cabinetry, and dark-framed aluminum windows. The palette and refined lines keeps the space from feeling too contemporary while balancing out the more traditional facets of it all.
