no.555 Architects of Japan are highly acclaimed and known for budget friendly, simple chic designs. Their “Nest” Residence for a young and growing family in Nagano, Japan is a creative endeavor that began to seek out great design while incorporating natural elements the entire way through.
“Nest” has a humble exterior, but the interior is a wildly organic mix of greenery and concrete– all cast into making a textured type of wall. The plan is an interesting concept. Keeping spaces as open as possible while still having private areas in tact. Both ends of the home have oversized and fully operable glass doors for natural light to easily access all corners of the home’s interior.
