This is the amazing constructed space that Magreid, Italy’s fire brigade calls home. Architects of Bergmeister Wolf created this 7400 square foot space partly carved into the rock-side landscape of Magreid Italy.
Three giant caverns make up the interior portion of this space, with glass and metal jut-outs coming from the natural landscape. The exterior facade is an interesting architectural play on the heavy, yet ungrounded glazed pieces. The slanted concrete “wall” is the perfect touch to create an overall built-in effect. The dark finishes on the interior concrete wall are said to be reminiscent of “burnt wood” with an emphasis on the red “pops” amongst the sea of neutrals.
