Pavilions are a great way to have groups of people gather and congregate; and if you’ve got a great space that is a median between events or serves a purpose such as this artistic structure they are fantastic. Architects 9 Optiune created this concrete space to serve as a gift shop of sorts in Romania.
The artistic center where it lies is in a location that is somewhat transitional, with plenty of art exhibits at the “Colony” going on at once. It’s a melded space of glass, metal and concrete all placed together in an aesthetically pleasing way. The pavilion not only serves as a pedestrian route but focuses on the sale of publications, advertising materials and objects.
