Small homes are typically a space for a single person, a few hundred square feet for a loft space or a few hidden and folding furniture pieces to tuck away into a normal sized home. But having under 600 square feet for a family of 4 people is an outlandish thought. For a family in Oregon, their 540 square foot home is a normal feat.
The quaint cottage style home was originally intended to be a vacation space, but ultimately ended up being the main residence for so many reasons. But with two children this residence only boasts one bedroom, one bathroom and a sleeping loft for the adults. Though the residence has been many different spaces previously, this space looks like it has found its knack.
the roof is covered in indigenous mosses and ferns, and the interior is crafted with care and thought put into each design process. There are some classic elements to this residence, too. The wood burning stove is a great addition and ode to a simpler time– much like the whole statement of the house itself.
