Natural light can sometimes be overlooked in the planning and programming processes of building and designing a home. Apollo Architects made sure to put this must at the top priority of the “Neut” home in Tokyo, and they did not disappoint.
Taking advantage of the narrow lot provided, the home design was planned on providing vertical space as a must. The underground was even involved with this residence, creating a basement studio for the homeowner and ophthalmologist. The arrangements of space are all quite non-traditional, with the kitchen on the upmost level, and the public and private spaces sandwiched in between the upper and basement floors. The third and top floor is also home to a section of glazed chambers that help to infuse the entire residence with light.
