San Francisco is home to many interesting and artful concepts, but this is certainly a first of displays. The Caselli Avenue Residence has curiosities like you wouldn’t believe, and with a mixture of the old Victorian shell with some contemporary additions from Schwartz and Architecture– it’s all a great mélange of styles, collections, finishes and the likes.
One space in particular is an attention grabber, for sure. This home office and modern display case of sorts features a multitude of curiosities that are enough to keep anyone occupied for a length of time. The great part about this room is the semi-transparent glass wall behind it that allows for parts and pieces of the jarred specimens to peek out and through. This keeps everything safe, yet on display to an extent without overwhelming the rest of the interior spaces.
