For some, there’s nothing better than the open air, farmland and a great contemporary home to go with it all. In most situations– the contemporary home doesn’t typically fit the bill, so the traditional farm house ensues. But for this Virginia based residence, a bit of modern flair was all that was needed to transform the look and feel of the entire project.
Robert M. Gurney, Architect designed the home to be in three separate pavilions with gabled roofs. While two are oriented the same, the third (middle) is situated just differently enough to create a private patio area in the back. Fully glazed walls allow light to flood in through the whole living pavilion, and the interior remains a sleek space with traditional roots.
