Stargazing out in the desert is a great time if astrology is your thing. What makes the Elqui Domos hotel a great place is that the accommodations don’t include camping. You can have your stars and sleep in an actual room, too.
Each dome shaped, canvas stretched room has a unique “skylight” type cutout to enjoy the sky of the Andes Mountains without even having to go outdoors. RDM Architects were commissioned to upgrade the existing domes to something a little better, and they didn’t disappoint. Beds are situated just under the cutout so that the nature observers have a keen view from the time their eyes open, right up until drifting off to sleep.
