Classic designs are oftentimes the ones that are looked at to innovate in the future. In most new designs whether it be architecture, furniture, industrial design or something similar– history can typically be seen within the foundation.

While things like tiny houses, yurts and homes on wheels becoming increasingly popular, it’s time we take a look back on the gorgeous work of Mickey Muennig in the 70s.

Muennig created a brick, wood and glass yurt in Big Sur that not only braves the elements, but is still standing in its vintage glamour. The glass roof allows natural light to flood into the cave like style of the space, while the warm woods and rustic palette appeal to the senses.
