Being in Venice and the Venice Beach area, you’ve got to roll with the quirky people, interesting ongoings and the overall California cool vibe that goes on. This geometric home certainly gives Venice another point of interest, and a chic one at that.
Daly Genik Architects remodeled this stucco structure to be the intricate contemporary work that it is today. Two structures make up the main house and guest house, with a nice common courtyard in between the dwellings. Each exterior is covered in a perforated metal cladding to both shield from prying eyes and allow sunlight to filter in simultaneously. Not only does the cladding serve for inherent cooling properties, but structurally it allows the various balconies to stand and extend past the shell, too.
