It’s always a surprise when something that’s less than glamorous inspires a beautiful piece of work. Take camping, for example. Combine camping with tents, less than standard accommodations, and cramped space– it’s doubtful that you’d want your home to be anything similar to a campsite.
Well, Simon Laws created a home that’s not only gorgeous– but it looks like a luxurious camp site. The Drew House is a home created from two pavilions that connect to an outdoor common area meant to share meals and lounge. Constructed from wood and metal sheeting, the elements were built offsite and transported to the quiet Queensland village. In addition to the ingenious shapes and interior finishes there are wooden louvers for creating an open environment or to give more privacy as seen below.
