There’s nothing more exciting than all of the different hodgepodge projects that cities bestow upon us. The old, the new, the refurbished– it all has a place within the urban areas that are so dense and diverse. The “Flip House” by Fougeron Architecture is one of those that just amazes and inspires over and over.
This residence was a great renovation that reinvented the entire way that the home reads (both on paper and in real life), interacts with space and sunlight, and even the spatial relationships were reinvented with a whole lot of programming and insight to the way the users actually live. Glazed panels create visual interest on the back of the home, and also push in and out to breathe more natural life and outdoor connection into the space.
Circulation and the amazing bay views were also taken into account, and remain important to the residence as a whole unit.
