New Zealand might not be synonymous with Sci-Fi and Fantasy flicks, but with the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey also comes the craze for more things “Lord of The Rings.” Since the flick was shot on site of a NZ farm, it only makes sense that any other project would also be added to the country down under.
Starting December 1st of 2012, the Hobbiton Green Dragon Pub opened up to the public. Since the Hobbit characters are all so small– this pub was built with a mixture of low to the ground elements while still keeping the structure actually able to house standard sized adults. The pub is nestled into the environment just nicely with a whole slew of natural furnishings and so much more.
