Former Design students Adnan Alagic, Bojan Kanlic and Amila Hrustic won a competition to create a forward thinking bridge spanning across the Miljaka River in Bosnia– and about 5 years later, the actual finished product was born.
Called ” Festina Lente,” this upside down looping bridge creates a bit of an overhang to protect users from the elements as well as some interesting looking seating for passersby. The loop creates both a visual and emotional connection with different paths colliding in one neutral location. At night, the architecture looks even more appealing across the short span of water.
