Austin, Texas has become more of a ‘hub’ for interesting art and known for a bit more of a city life than other areas around the country. With a booming student scene, there is no end of creativity and originality in Austin, and that’s just where Mell Lawrence Architects needed to gain some inspiration from with this re-design.
Originally an 80′s home, this Mt. Bonnell House is now a bright and contemporary reflection of the young couple’s artsy personalities. The kitchen and living room are open spaces that soak up plenty of natural light and the galvanized steel is a great industrial look without being too grungy. The interior walls, floors and finishes were all gutted in this space to be replaced with up to date, gorgeous finishes throughout.
