Origami isn’t only an art that inspires paper products, but architecture has clearly been influenced by the ancient Asian art. This Tokyo based residence by Yasuhiro Yamashita has all of the bold geometric facades reminiscent of Origami with plenty of beautiful folds and flat faces.
This small space has perfectly carved out niches for everything– including a covered car portico that leads up to a home entry. Sitting at about 330 square feet, this space might not look too efficient from the exterior– but upon entering, the first thing realized is that is truly not the case at all. Everything, including the countertops are customized and carefully articulated for the ideal experience.
