For those who just can’t move past the title wondering what “Marktplaats” is– essentially it is the Dutch version of e-bay, and in this instance it was used to purchase parts and pieces that created a small coffee bar in The Netherlands. Built by Overtreders W in the lush Dutch lands, this is an amazing look at compartmentalization.
Titled “Noorderparkbar” this fold up, timber clad, recycled place is merely a few found objects and lots of random parts and pieces all fit together in an instance. There are giant barn-like shutters surrounding the pavilion enclose the container like units at the end of the day. Out of the 3 temporary hospital unit space, one has a facade of old windows and a roof of old skylights, that comprises the bar and restroom areas. A tiny yet interesting and very functional space.
