As if the Dutch Design Week didn’t have enough ongoings, another pop up structure for the Glow event now taking place is called the Cupola by design group, Luminarie De Cagna. Helping to illuminate the streets of Eindhoven just a little longer, this dome is a structural piece covered in thousands of LED lights.
30,000 tiny colored LED’s to be exact. Strings, nets and anything helpful is used to keep all of the lights up and in place throughout the week long event. Luckily, the collective has been using LED lighting for their installations since 2006, so the awe inspiring work is green without going unnoticed at all.
