Angry teenagers can rejoice over this particular dining table. Michael Beitz‘s creative perception on the dining table is something that looks like two people who want to avoid one another would sit at, and the wood surface is like an undulating roller coaster that starts out as a regular old table and shoots up to completely block out the view of the person across the way.
Beitz’s original concept was to “address obvious tensions that exist in our daily routines and relationships,” and it looks as though those relationships have been expressed visually through his latest built piece. Avoid all of the harrowing conversation, question answering, and awkward moments that tend to go down at the dinner table with this creatively crafted piece. Perhaps not the most functional if you live with someone that you actually enjoy, but a really fun piece nonetheless.
