When you think ‘Pop-Up Shop’ there’s typically an association with purchasing goods, bright lights, big signage and all kinds of stops pulled out for those just wandering through. And imagine a Starbucks pop-up shop. You’d think frappucino’s, lattes, espresso drinks and coffee cups abound, right? Wrong. This Tokyo based shop by Nendo is actually quite the opposite.
Presented as an ‘Espresso Journey,’ this space is outfitted as more of a library type setting that features hundreds upon thousands of books that are color coded to the type of drink they are associated with. Users are encouraged to learn more about the inner-workings of their favorites, and the space was created with intent to bond coffee drinkers and their beloved cups even more so.
