Regine Ramseier’s Dandelion Ceiling Houses 2,000 Suspended Flowers

Summer may be over, but who’s to say that you can’t relive those days filled with sun, warm breeze and a book? German artist Regine Ramseier captured the essence of the warmer months with her creative Dandelion Ceiling art installation as a part of the ArTroll Summer Lab 2011.

In Regine’s process, she hand picked over 2,000 dandelions herself and then proceeded to spray each and every one with an aerosol adhesive to prevent the seeds from blowing away with the wind. After each piece was fluffed, sprayed and arranged just the way needed; Regine took the dandelions one by one and hung them upside down from the ceiling.
