The K Residence designed by Yukio Kimura and Kräf•te Design is the quintessential Japanese designed home. There are minimal finishes and furnishings– with plenty of what’s needed either built in or not far off.
The minimalistic nature of this home fits with the resident’s needs. A vast majority of it all stemmed (literally) from plants and their connection in the space. Not only were plants utilized as a great juxtaposition to the raw materials, but there was great care in planning to incorporate plenty of connections throughout the entire interior. Glazing, botanicals, modular furniture and open visual layouts. Beautiful and simple.
