When you’re really going all out and designing your own personal home from the ground up, choices that seem so simple to most become daunting tasks that require a multitude of other decisions based on the route taken. This young family’s house in the South African Pearl Valley Golf Estate is of new construction, and they chose to go with none other than the spectacular AA Interiors for their new home.
The use of natural materials is the one thing that really took precedence over so many other details in this home, with a huge emphasis on “barefoot luxury” stylings for comfort and visual aesthetics. The sprawling country estate’s architecture (by Gardiol Bergenthuin) also helped dictate the scale and weight of furniture going into the space; and even the outdoor area is the perfect spot to cuddle up on a warm summer evening.
