Public works in architecture are always being proposed, and this year’s 2012 ArchTriumph design contest had some innovative entries– no doubt. But one that’s caught our eye indefinitely is the Inflatable Trampoline Design from Atelier Zündel Cristea Architecture in France.
With a fun and whimsical sounding proposal of a gigantic, inflatable bridge that doubles as a trampoline, it looks like a whole ton of fun– not only to create, but to venture across the Seine River. But obviously, this would raise questions of safety and more. Proposed as an urban gathering, the trampoline would ideally serve as more than that complete with a low-maintenance, low-cost start up, and has come in at a respectable third place.
