The Netherlands plays home to many talented architects, and Zecc Architecten has some talent behind the brand with the various re-use projects under their belts. The Villa in the Woods residence is a clean representation of their true work, with much of the design planned around the woodsy landscape.
Built in 2009, this home has a complete stone facade with concrete accenting and wood paneling where appropriate to add in another beautiful natural element. There are three stories total, with what the architect calls out as a ‘void’ from the basement to the second floor. This ‘void’ allows a clear view to the garden, and private spaces are connected from this area. A clean, woodsy space anyone could call home.
