Renovations can be a lengthy process, but the end result on historical buildings can be a real treat if done correctly. The Pool Shophouse is one of those that really stands out as a finished product, with an old (yet updated) facade and a truly stunning interior that creates a nice mixture of old and new.
KD Architects and FARM collaborated together on this space to create a four story plan that would house bedrooms on the upper levels and an indoor pool on the lower portion. There’s a central skylight within it all to keep natural light flowing, but the privacy levels high. The natural materials used throughout aren’t a bad look, either.
