Martinborough, New Zealand is home to a gorgeously industrial and open home called the Dixon House. Stapleton Elliott designed the airy and minimal home around the concept of simple building forms to articulate an uncluttered lifestyle.
The interior is divvied up into various “pavilions,” with private pavilions at either end of the home containing the bedrooms, a central space for living areas to connect the separate private rooms. Each area is designed with the intent to keep the views consistent and provide the best calming scenery and mountain ranges. The various pavilions all center around an enclosed courtyard and the differently colored buildings.
