If there’s one thing that’s all kinds of popular at the moment in terms of green design and sustainable living, it is the vertical garden. Though José Selgás & Lucía Cano of selgascano have a beautiful solution that just may be the right answer for those looking to get the most growth out of your plants within limited confines.

With the concept of growing life in zero gravity, this design duo went off of the premise that when seeds grow outside of the traditional route, roots and parts of the plant tend to go in all directions. Hence the “Between Air” (Al Aire) installation at this year’s Biennale Spanish Pavilion.

The end result is a pretty install that features various hanging heights and widths all within different grey, yellow and white ‘container’ style holders suspended from the airy ceiling structure.
