If small homes are something that you thought were impossible– try having the narrowest proportions of your home restricted by the neighbors surrounding you. The single family home located in St. Andreu; right in the heart of the Old Town District in Barcelona, is one piece of proof that with enough determination anything can work.
With only a 12 foot wide footprint to work with on the urban home, there was a lot done to make it feel much more spacious than it truly is. It’s not difficult to feel cramped, especially in the city; and the light colors on the walls are a good starting point to making things brighter and wider. Ferrolan Lab put this project together, and the end result is a stunning family space that really makes the entire residence feel large. Rooms are built with large open spaces and the house becomes an extremely flexible and reconfigurable space.
