X House in Illinois by Urban Lab

Although this house is seemingly located in the middle of nowhere, X House has got plenty of modern day conveniences and the stylings of a mid-century modern dwelling to drool over. It’s a simplistic weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle, and all of the details are what make this Urban Lab built home supreme.
Although it’s situated on 14 acres of lush green land, the home is just 1600 square feet, and contains a suspended fireorb, in the central “x-marks the spot” location while the outlying spaces are a master wing, a guest bedroom, small office and other public areas.
The knotty pine wood gives the interior interesting patterns and flows with the other material combinations all in the name of being ecologically sound.
