There are some strange hotels out in the world, but this 645 square foot hotel room in Holland is one of the more unique works of design that have popped up over the years. Harlingen, Holland is home to a Crane Hotel that overlooks the harbor.
The fun part of it all is that it actually still works. To get up into your room, there are two elevator rides: one that brings you up to the base platform, and another that ascends through the center of the crane. The crane was used back in the 60′s and was completely retrofitted and restored to house a complete hotel room suspended in the air. The restoration took place from 2001 to 2003 and took about 2 years to complete. But according to the hotel, stay at your own risk; and having more than two people on the premises of your room is also not allowed.
