Super Thin Sliced Paper Formed Into Architectural Models

Model making can be an art form in its own right if the work that’s being constructed is conceptual. But when there are detailed parts involved in architectural model building, there is some serious skill to be had. Artist Jill Sylvia is a master at creating especially detailed works of art with hand cut ledger paper.

As if any old run-of-the-mill house wouldn’t be enough work to construct out of thin paper, some of Jill’s most notable works happen to be famous buildings. The White House, Jefferson Memorial and U.S. Capitol building are all parts of Sylvia’s portfolio– one just as stunning as the next.
