Square Nine Hotel In Serbia’s Historic Quarter

Posted 276 days ago by

Serbia isn’t known much for the architecture scene, but here and there are some gems that deserve the attention. Located in the Belgrade Historic Quarter of the country, the Square Nine Hotel (designed by Isay Weinfeld) could almost be overlooked at first glance; all due to the simplistic nature and unobtrusive materials on the facade.

But the contemporary building is integrated quite seamlessly into the streets of Belgrade. Flush mounted planter boxes line the street side views of the hotel and the neutral palette is especially pleasing amongst the other architecture on the street. However, the interior is a stunner all to itself. Masculine and worldly, this space is truly unique. It has a uniquely laid-back feel while still managing to pull off the hotel vibe.
